My name is Mourylise Heymer and I'm a Brazilian user experience designer currently working for a technololgy research and development organization.
As an user experience designer I've been working with agile teams closely with product management on requirements and functional designs, gathering user requirements and feedback through interviews and usability studies, developing propotypes, producing wireframes, flow diagrams and other design related documentation, developing and maintaining user experience and UI standards across applications.
Before that, I worked as a Creative Director in Portugal where I was responsible for the look and feel of all design work, including corporate identity projects (across the channels of print and web), advertising campaigns, graphic design, websites information architecture and graphical user interface for Internet, Intranet and Extranet projects. In some projects I also was responsible for the creation of storyboards for flash animations and supervision of photographic productions.
In Portugal I had an interesting experience as a senior designer of the Computer Graphic Centre of Minho University where I provided creative services for the technical departments and done research in human computer interface, accessibility, and usability, e-learning and interactive environments. I was responsible for estimating, design, project management, and project execution with both internal and external team members producing creative conceptions for web, virtual environments, kiosks, CDROMs, flash presentations, software user interface, graphic design, and video production and postproduction.
But my experience in the graphic and web design fields started in my native country. In 1995 at 18 year old, I started working in a Brazilian company as a graphic designer, creating accessories for the fashion industry and my first contact with web design was in 1999, during my last university year. After graduating in advertising in 2000 I was invited by a Portuguese company specialized in web marketing to join their team. At that time I was doing freelance web design work in Brazil.
In 2006 I finished my master degree in Multimedia Technology at Porto University in Portugal and went to United Kingdom, where I spent some time improving English skills and recycling knowledge in Web Standards, XHTML and CSS.
I worked some time as a freelancer and decided to come back to my country in 2007. Currently I'm in Brazil but feel free to contact me any time if you are looking for a talented hard worker designer that believes UX as business strategy.
